Marion Van Nostrand Scholarship for Single Parents

The Marion Van Nostrand Scholarship is for undergraduate students who are custodial single parents with dependent children, who are majoring in a STEM field, have demonstrated financial need, are in good academic standing, and making progress towards a degree.

The purpose of this scholarship is to promote a more diverse and gender equitable environment for students who are majoring in science, science education, mathematics and ABET accredited engineering programs. Students majoring in computer science and environmental science are also eligible.

The Marion Van Nostrand Scholarship is for undergraduate students who are custodial single parents with dependent children, who are earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing or majoring in a STEM field, have demonstrated financial need, are in good academic standing, and making progress towards a degree.

Award

  • Cost of in-state tuition and student fees, plus an addition $1,000 per year towards textbooks and supplies.
