DOUBLE EAGLE II SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE STEM TEACHERS
The Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education (SMATE) Program at Western Washington University announces the Double Eagle II Scholarship for undergraduate or graduate students at WWU who are planning to become a STEM teacher in grades K-12. Applicants must major in one of the STEM fields and plan to teach in the public school system. They must also be a U.S citizen. Applicants will be judged based on their GPA in their major courses, recommendations from faculty, and their personal commitment to teaching. Applications are encouraged from current WWU students and community college students planning to attend WWU in 2015-2016. Western Washington University is committed to improving the quality and increasing the diversity of STEM teachers in the public schools. Award amounts vary and are pending funding approval.
For the 2018-19 academic year, one Double Eagle II scholarship will be awarded for $3,600.
