ALLAN THON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FOR FUTURE STEM TEACHERS

The Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education (SMATE) Program at Western Washington University announces the Allan Thon Family Scholarship of $1,000 for undergraduate or graduate students at WWU who are planning to become teachers of science in grades K-12. Applicants must be U.S citizens. Applicants will be judged based on their GPA in their major courses, recommendations from faculty, and their personal commitment to teaching.  Western Washington University is committed to improving the quality and increasing the diversity of science teachers in the public schools.  Awards dependent on funding.

For the 2018-19 academic year, one Allan Thon Family scholarship will be awarded for $1000.
