Educational & Professional Experience
Instructor, Western Washington University
Master's Degree Biostatistics, University of Minnesota
Bachelor's Degree Mathematics, University of South Dakota
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Education. I then attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In 2002, I received my Master of Science in Biostatistics from the School of Public Health.
When I graduated, I chose to pursue a career in clinical research. I have worked for a small pharmaceutical company and a mid-size medical device company on projects as varied as a drug for narcolepsy and a device to treat urinary incontinence. After the birth of my oldest daughter, I switched to teaching part-time and currently teach for several institutions of higher education both online and ground.
On a more personal note, I am married. I have two children I am a no-longer-recent transplant to northern Washington State. We moved from the midwest in 2011. My family and I have been enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We enjoy hiking, camping, crabbing, clamming, exploring and just generally being active and outdoors. I also have one very spoiled puppy, and an equally spoiled kitten, and 6 backyard chickens.
