"She Started It" - Film at the Pickford 

Monday, February 13 2017

On Monday, February 13th, the Pickford Film Center hosted a showing of She Started It, a feature length documentary film on women tech entrepreneurs, shot in Silicon Valley, NYC, Europe, Vietnam, Mississippi & more, that aims to highlight successful role models for young women. Following the film was a meet & greet session with the director and producer of the film, Nora Poggi. It is the first film to show the behind the scenes of running a tech start-up as a young woman.


A Night Celebrating Entrepreneurship and Innovation 

On February 2nd, over 200 folks came through the door to see and hear about the happenings at the Technology Development Center with the IDEA Lab, the Foundry, BTC, WWU's CSE and the Port of Bellingham.

Bellingham Technical College Composite Engineering Technology

Check out BTC's video on their Composite Engineering Technology program. Majority of the fabrication done in the program takes place at the Technology development Center. This video shows examples of composite manufacturing that can be done at the TDC.

BTC hosts a Manufacturing Day Open House

In celebration of Manufacturing Day, Bellingham Technical College hosted an Open House at the Technology Development Center which was open to the general public. During the event, a variety of demonstrations were put on from BTC's manufacturing and engineering programs, including mechanical design, clean energy and electronic instrumentation.
