Research Interests

My research is focused on photometric studies of incredibly old and dense star clusters, called globular clusters. These systems can be found haloing almost every galaxy in the universe. I study globular cluster systems to assist a better understanding of galaxy formation.

Outreach Interests

I am passionate about supporting and recruiting a diverse student body. I hope to make the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) more welcoming and inclusive. I am now the STEM Diversity and Outreach Specialist which is a new position for the College of Science and Engineering (CSE). The goal of this brand new position is to cultivate and maintain partnerships with the student body, the faculty (in CSE & other colleges) and to utilize the networks inside and outside WWU to increase diversity in the STEM fields. I am also the host of Spark Science which is a radio talk show and podcast with the goal to help listeners learn science while having a good time.
