The Sisters+ Program facilitates Peer-Mentorship with the Computer Science Department by pairing underclassmen with upperclassmen to provide a support network for students intending to pursue, or pursuing Computer Science as a major. Mentors meet with their mentees for at least an hour a week, offering advice and insight to their mentees. Our mentors have experience in industry, research, and in general, surviving the Computer Science major.
We are currently in need of more program mentees. If you are considering Computer Science as a major, talking with a student in the program as you complete the rudimentary Computer Science courses will help you to learn more about the program, and the niches of Computer Science not talked about in the classroom that may excite you.
While this program was originally intended to connect women within the Computer Science major, it's open to all genders, and gender identities.
