As the famed and hugely influential computer scientist Donald Knuth once said, a key component to being successful in computer science is the ability to work at different “levels of abstraction,” from the low-level systems architecture work to the high-level algorithm analysis and design. We’d like to extend that range even further by taking a brief tour of circuit design and business considerations, two things that we don’t generally get to see in our studies here. Industry veteran and new faculty member Susheel Gopalan will walk us through the process of creating an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design this coming Tuesday evening.

No business or electrical engineering background required! This talk is open to everyone who wants to broaden their horizons even further in the world of technology.

Please join us this coming Tuesday, February 13th at 5pm in CF 316.
