Mike is the CEO at GeoEngineers, Inc. a national engineering and science firm and lives in Tacoma, WA. He graduated from WWU in 2004 with his Master of Science in geology and went on to work for the Washington State Department of Transportation before joining GeoEngineers more than a decade ago. He moved through the ranks at the firm working on notable projects including the investigation of a Superfund site outside of Tumwater, WA and numerous transportation corridor projects before taking over as CEO in 2015. As CEO, he is focusing on increasing personal mastery, curiosity and grit in the firm’s employees. He has also dedicated his time to supporting Tacoma’s non-profit associations Downtown on the Go as a past Board president and as a current Board member on the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts. When he is not working or supporting his community, he races in the local Cyclocross Series and spends time playing music and fly fishing with his wife Jennifer and border collie Adams.
