WWU Industrial Design students were honored on Nov. 29 at the 2017 GRAY Awards in Seattle with a first place award in the Student Design Open Category for "Cube^3." The annual awards are sponsored by GRAY Magazine, one of the leading design publications in the Pacific Northwest.
Faculty members in Western Washington University’s Engineering and Design Department have been awarded a pair of grants totaling over $160,000 by Washington’s Joint Center for Aerospace Innovation.
Western Washington University’s Industrial Design junior studio will showcase a sustainable entrepreneurship exhibition from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 at Ideal in Bellingham.
The exhibition, titled “ReMade: Nature” challenges students to design with sustainability in mind, encouraging the reuse, recycling, or repurposing of material. This year, students are presenting 12 modern design solutions that primarily utilize natural materials. The event is free and open to the public.
